BOY’S UNIFORMS:
Grades K-4: Navy blue dress trousers; twill or corduroy; light blue polo shirt; navy cardigan; navy or black socks; black athletic shoe.
Grades 5-8: Navy blue dress trousers,, twill or corduroy; light blue polo shirt; navy pullover; navy or black socks; black athletic shoe.
Boys are not allowed to wear earrings at any time.
During extreme winter conditions boots may not be worn in the classrooms. Extra shoes must be brought to school.
Sweaters are part of the prescribed uniform, to provide warmth. Therefore additional jackets, sweaters, and layered shirts are not to be worn under uniforms if they show. T-shirts must be white.
P.E. Uniforms:
All students are required to be prepared for Physical Education Classes with gym shoes, and the required P.E. uniform: green tee shirt and shorts, or a gray sweatsuit outfit. The P.E. Uniform is not optional. Only those students who have a written medical excuse are exempt from P.E. classes. School Sweatsuits are available for wear in colder weather. Students may wear their P.E. outfit to school on P.E. days.
Other Apparel:
In addition to School Uniform Policies students, parents and guardians are to exercise proper judgment regarding outerwear and other clothing and accessories. Students may not wear apparel deemed “inappropriate” to our Christian environment or any apparel or accessories which might threaten the student’s or the school’s security (such as items which pose security risks of being stolen (such as expensive leather jackets, or any clothing or accessories which might correctly or incorrectly identify a student as a member of a group or a philosophy which would undermine the student’s, the family’s and the school’s Catholic religious identity and (or) physical or psychological well-being. The school administration will be the final authority for judgment in these matters.
Student Grooming and Hairstyles: Parents are asked to make sure that students always arrive at school well-groomed and neatly attired. Appearance reflects one’s attitude about oneself and the school.
Students are to maintain normal and presentable hairstyles. Unusual or outlandish styles, carved designs, tails, symbols or wording, styles which are so long as to interfere with school work or physical education, or any style which draws undo attention to oneself is not permitted. Parents are expected to help the student develop good judgment and common sense in these matters. No hair coloring is allowed. |
